Around 2000 when I first started listening seriously to electronic music, one of the first artists I encountered was Jean Michel Jarre and his albums Équinoxe and Oxygène. Although they were released in the late seventies they still felt very innovatory. He makes that French synthesizer filterhouse with a lot of narrative, just like Daft Punk started doing with the release of the Discovery album. That kind of story telling is something I try to put in MUSIC FOR YOUR EARS as well.
